LucentMark is developing clear, made-to-fit window inserts for portable air conditioners. Each LucentMark window insert will be manufactured in Australia to suit the required window dimensions and include a secure connection for the portable air conditioner exhaust hose.
The aim is to provide a cleaner, more reliable alternative to loose standard kits and makeshift window setups — without cardboard, fabric seals or taping the exhaust hose into place.
1. Identify your window type
LucentMark is being developed for several common window configurations, including casement windows, awning windows, sliding windows and sliding doors.
Your window type determines how the insert will be sized and fitted. You won’t need to understand technical window terminology when ordering — clear photos and examples will help you identify the right option.
2. Measure your window
Before ordering, you’ll follow a simple measuring guide designed for your window type.
We’re currently refining this process so customers only need to provide the measurements actually required to manufacture the insert correctly.
Detailed measuring instructions will be available before orders open.
3. Made to order in Australia
Once your window measurements and required configuration are confirmed, your LucentMark insert will be manufactured to order in Australia.
The clear acrylic panel will be cut to the required size and prepared with a dedicated connection designed to securely attach your portable air conditioner exhaust hose.
The finished insert is intended to be more than simply a piece of acrylic with a hole cut into it. The secure exhaust connection is a core part of the product, helping keep the hose properly attached without relying on tape or a loose push-fit opening.
Designed for a better-sealed setup
A made-to-fit rigid insert is designed to reduce unnecessary gaps around the window opening, while the secure exhaust connection helps prevent hot exhaust air leaking back into the room.
By creating a cleaner, better-sealed setup, the insert is designed to help your portable air conditioner cool the room more effectively.
4. Fit the insert to your window
The window insert is being designed as a removable, non-permanent solution.
The final mounting method will depend on the window configuration, but the goal is the same: provide a secure fit without permanently modifying the window.
That makes LucentMark a rental-friendly option and also means the insert can be removed when your portable air conditioner is no longer required.
5. Connect your portable air conditioner
With the insert fitted, securely connect your portable air conditioner exhaust hose to the integrated connection and position the unit as normal.
The connection is being designed to hold the hose properly in place, helping avoid the loose fitment problems that can come with standard kits and improvised setups.
That means no taping the hose into the window and less risk of the exhaust hose slipping back into the room while the air conditioner is running.
When the system is no longer needed, the insert can be removed and stored for future use.
LucentMark is currently developing and testing its window inserts. Final product specifications, mounting methods and compatibility requirements may change before launch.
